‘We’ll get through this’: Cape Cod community rallies after days of cold, darkness and damage
Hannah Koudelka was still asleep around 9 a.m. Monday morning, when a tree crashed through the ceiling above her. The mature pine tree that grew right next to the home she rents in West Yarmouth was felled during this week’s powerful snowstorm.
A small update arrived to Call of Duty on February 25, and the patch notes detail a few bug fixes for Black Ops 7 and some notable weapon tuning for Warzone. The weapon adjustments for battle royale include a nerf for the popular auto conversion for the M8A1 assault rifle, while a few other guns get improvements to make them more viable.
While emergency shelters and warming centers are helping people without power, fewer options are available for the region's pets. MSPCA stepped in.
As of early morning on Tuesday, Feb. 24, 156,000 Eversource customers were reported without power on the Cape. The company reported that 80% of the Cape's three largest towns – Barnstable, Falmouth and Yarmouth – have no power, while 99-100% of Provincetown, Truro, Wellfleet, Eastham, Orleans and Brewster have no power.
In response to those in need of a place to warm up and charge their phones, various warming centers have started to pop up across Cape Cod, offering refuge both during the day and overnight. Temporary shelters vary in the resources they provide, but many offer comforts such as charging stations, blankets and water bottles.

Monday's blizzard placed an incredible amount of stress on Cape Cod's infrastructure, knocking out most mostly everywhere, and making roads impassible for days. Hospitals on the peninsula were also stressed as patients swarmed emergency rooms looking for care.
